Mothers. Functional Nutritionist. Realist.
Meet the women who support you in feeling like yourself again.
Elizabeth McHugh MS, MPH, LDN, CNS, NBC-HWC
Elizabeth believes health is the foundation of everything- especially for mothers who are busy holding everything together for everyone else.
She is a Licensed Dietitian Nutritionist, a Certified Nutrition Specialist, and a National Board Certified Health and Wellness Coach, with additional trainings in coaching, nutrtion, and functional medicine. She holds a Master of Science in Clinical Nutrition and Integrative Health from Maryland University of Integrative Health and a Master of Public Health in Health Promotion and Health Communication from George Washington University. With more than 5,000 hours in clinical care and coaching, she meets every client where they are and builds plans that work in real life.
Elizabeth is also a teaching fellow at Harvard Extension School, where she supports a course on motivation, and a Groop Guide, coaching leaders and teams on leadership, cohesion, and communication.
At home, she’s a mom of two young kids and two dogs, so she knows firsthand what it’s like to run on too little sleep and too much coffee (and maybe a margarita or two!) When she isn’t working, you’ll find her cooking, sitting in the sun, terrorizing her husband, taking long drives, or haning with her friends and family.
Jacquelyn McHugh MS, CHWC
Jacquelyn started her career as a certified athletic trainer (ATC) after receiving a Bachelor’s degree in Sports Medicine from Florida State University. After working with athletes for a few years, Jacquelyn recognized the connection between nutrition and optimal athletic performance. She decided to pursue a degree in Nutrition + Dietetics from Florida International University. At the same time, she earned her certification in WellCoaches Health and Wellness Coaching in order to best support her clients changing their behavior. In 2017, she began publishing Edible Columbia + Edible Charleston in order to support local food and educate the community on the importance of eating local food. She finished her Masters of Science in Nutrition and Integrative Health in August of 2022 and has recently begun sport specific training adolescent athletes in her local community.
While Jacquelyn is not practicing nutrition you can find her with her with her two beautiful boys, and her husband on their back porch or at the baseball field. She loves a fabulous glass of bubbles, cooks healthy meals (in under an hour!) and has mastered the art of getting baseball clay out of her sons’ white pants. Jacquelyn continues practicing her love of sports through coaching her sons’ flag football team, running GameChanger for their travel baseball teams, playing recreational volleyball and pickleball. She has completed multiple Tough Mudder races, Spartan Races, the Falmouth Road Race, 10k’s, a 15k, and half marathon. She is NOT a runner. Jacquelyn believes you can not out-train poor nutrition, but you can eat your way into a competitive advantage.
